How to sign up on Bybit

Click [Join Bybit] at the top to open the official page. The link already contains referral code BYBIT20, so the 20% futures fee rebate is applied automatically — you don't need to fill it in manually.

Always check the URL starts with https://www.bybit.com. Phishing sites that reuse the brand are increasingly common in search ads.

Choose the Email or Phone tab. Email is easier to manage and to recover, and stays accessible anywhere you travel.

• Pick Email or Phone. (Email recommended for long-term use.)
• Password: 8+ characters, mixed case, numbers, symbols. Never reuse a password from another exchange or service.
• Confirm BYBIT20 is pre-filled in the referral field. If empty, enter it manually.
• Check the terms and privacy boxes, then click [Create account].

A 6-digit code is sent to your email or phone. Enter it within 60 seconds — once accepted, the account is created and you're taken straight to the dashboard.

If nothing arrives, check Spam / Promotions and click [Resend]. Gmail often files it under Promotions. After 3 retries, try a different email.

KYC starts automatically after sign up. Level 1 is mandatory to use deposits, withdrawals and futures. Completing it unlocks a 1M USDT daily withdrawal limit — effectively unlimited for personal use.

• Pick your country.
• ID: passport, national ID or driver's license (passport has the best OCR success rate).
• Photograph the ID front and back → take a selfie in bright, glare-free light.
• Usually approved in 5–15 minutes; up to 24 hours in busy periods.
• If rejected, check the reason and retry — blurry photos or reflections are the usual cause.

Security matters more than anything else on an exchange. Set these four up immediately after sign up.

• Install Google Authenticator and enable app-based 2FA. Avoid SMS 2FA — it's vulnerable to SIM-swap attacks.
• Set an anti-phishing code — every real Bybit email will show it, letting you spot phishing instantly.
• Register a withdrawal whitelist — even if the account is compromised, funds can't leave to unknown addresses. A 24-hour lock applies.
• Use a different trading password from your login password — an extra barrier if login is breached.

Your account and security are now fully set. You can buy USDT on a local exchange, transfer it to Bybit, move it to the derivatives wallet, and place your first futures trade.
